This was intended to be a solid state transmitter, matching the HR-1680
receiver. It was announced in 1977. Here in Sweden, an ad in the november
issue of QTC, our national ham magazine, indicated a kit price of SEK 1595:-.
However, this model was never released. Instead, it was reworked and released
as a tube hybrid in 1979 with the new model number HX-1681.
