RECEIVER SECTION |
Receiver system: |
Single conversion superheterodyne
IF: 7.8 MHz (SSB) - 455 KHz (AM)
|
Sensitivity: |
AM: 0.5 uV (10 dB S+N/N)
FM: ? uV (12 dB SINAD)
SSB: 0.25 uV (10 dB S+N/N)
|
Squelch sensitivity: | Less than 0.5 uV (Threshold) |
Selectivity: |
AM/SSB:
2.2 KHz (-6 dB) 7.5 KHz (-60 dB)
NB! This is according to the original manual. It's normal
for SSB, but very narrow for AM. Is this a typo?

|
Additional info: |
Same as version 2 in the US, but apparently factory modified for the European market.
Modifications include:
New mains transformer for 220 VAC.
FM board added. The normal mode switch now indicates AM/FM in the leftmost
position, and the former NB/ANL switch is now used to select AM or FM. The
former channel 9 LED now indicates FM mode instead.
80 channels instead of the normal 40. Selectable with the former channel 9 switch.
Does anyone know how many modified Madisons were actually sold in Europe?
